Ken Woody
Mr. Woody is currently President of Innova, a Venture Capital firm in Memphis, Tennessee and participates as an investor and board member in other local biotech companies. Prior to founding Innova, Mr. Woody was a Senior Vice President, Global Sales with Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics from 2004 to 2006, responsible for $1.5BB in annual global sales in their Recon and Trauma business units. From 2003 to 2004 Mr. Woody was a Vice President of Sales for Johnson & Johnson’s independent franchise, Deputy Spine in Boston, Massachusetts. In addition, Mr. Woody served over 16 years as an Executive, Vice President and General Manager with General Electric in their Healthcare and Capital businesses. Most notably, Mr. Woody was General Manager of the top GE Business Unit, GE Medical Systems from 2001 to 2003. Mr. Woody served the Unites States Armed Forces as a U.S. Army Captain, Infantry, General Aide-de-Camp and received his Bachelor of Science, Pre-Med from North Carolina State University.
H. Lee Durham
Since 2006, Mr. Durham has been a Corporate Director on the Board of Triad Guaranty, Inc. (Nasdaq: TGIC) where he is Lead Independent Director, Chair of Corporate Governance and Nominations and serves on the Audit and Compensation Committees. Additionally, Mr. Durham has been on the board of First Citizens BancShares, Inc. (Nasdaq: FCNCA) since 2003 where he serves on the Executive Committee and is the Chair of the Audit and Compliance Committee. From 1990 to 2002 he was with PricewaterhouseCoopers in a number of senior management positions. From 1980 to 1990 he was with Durham, Martin, Jenkins & Co., a firm he founded and grew until it was merged into Coopers & Lybrand. Mr. Durham is a graduate of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1970.
Jeffrey T. Barber
Mr. Barber recently retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers ("PwC") after 31 years of service. He was a PwC partner for 20 years and served as Managing Partner of the Raleigh office for 14 years. He has extensive experience working with technology, healthcare, and large, multi-national companies. He has assisted his clients in 12 successful IPO transactions. Jeff has served as the lead engagement partner for Glaxo Wellcome, Quintiles Transnational, Inspire Pharmaceuticals, Triangle Pharmaceuticals, TranS1 Corp., Pharmaceutical Product Development ("PPD") and Salix Pharmaceuticals. Jeff is actively involved in the Research Triangle area business community. He is currently on the board of directors of BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina. He is a past board member of the Council for Entrepreneurial Development (“CED”), where he is past chairman of the board, and the North Carolina Technology Association (“NCTA”), where he has served as Treasurer. In the past, he has served as a member of the UNC-CH Accounting Advisory Board and a member of the NCSU College of Management Board of Advisors. Jeff holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Kentucky. He is a licensed certified public accountant in North Carolina and Kentucky and is a member of the North Carolina Association of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.
